She is a soldier and a commander but in this battle she only had one goal… to save as many children as possible.
Corporal Shifra Buchris, a mother of ten children, is the commander of the border patrol unit (Magav) in the South. On that Black Saturday, she went out with three of her soldiers, in private vehicles, on a rescue mission without having being called. For 12 hours they traveled back and forth from the music festival in Reim to the evacuation point. They saved those who pretended to be dead and evacuated the bleeding and wounded, at huge risk to their own lives. The main goal was to return as many children as possible to their families at home.
